My fiance plus I live up north, however we inherited a home in Jacksonville, FL that is right on the St Johns river. Sometimes we go to stay in FL for a couple of weeks during the Summer plus we always stay at the home in Jacksonville. I do that storm weather could eventually cause a lot of issues, but I was hoping that it would not happen when I was the owner of the Jacksonville property. This year there was a huge storm that hit Jacksonville with tremendous force. The river rose nearly 12 ft plus a lot of water was inside of my home. When the water receded, the only thing that was left was a mess. It was going to cost $100,000 to repair all of the harms plus my fiance plus I did not have the time or the energy to make all of the repairs. My buddy and I decided to take the check from the insurance corporation plus we sold the home to a cash buyer. The cash buyer in Jacksonville was gleeful to give us a fair offer on the property. My buddy and I do that there was mold harm plus rotten wood that dated to be updated. I was surprised that we got a cash offer that was adequate. I absolutely thought we would have to confront tooth and nail to get a fair offer, however the cash for home buyers was great.
