Getting my start in the real estate market

My Uncle Jim moved out to CA in the 1960s.

He was an aspiring hippie, who wanted to get in on the dying mornings of the Free Love movement.

He was also an enterprising pot dealer, who wound up doing legitimately well for himself out here… After moving to Canada briefly to dodge the draft, he moved back plus settled down in San Francisco, even back then it was a trendy, pricey arena to live, although the property values have skyrocketed in the years since, but it’s because of Uncle Jim that I was able to get my foot in the door of the San Francisco real estate market; Back in the 60s property values in the Bay Area were a fraction of what they are today, so he bought multiple properties to use as rentals, then over the years he would pay cash for houses plus home buildings, but when he was ready to retire he started to sell off his San Francisco real estate holdings, plus allowed me to serve as the agent. This gave me with a enjoyable deal of hands-on experience with San Francisco real estate, first with buyers, plus later with other sellers besides Uncle Jim, and currently I would say that the San Francisco real estate market is as lucrative as it has ever been. Without the inside help of my Uncle, I never would have been able to get an experience with cash property buyers for property in San Francisco, however uncle Jim took all the cash for houses he had made plus moved out to a tropical island to retire.
