At first I thought I was going to be this big time real estate guy and live off my rentals.
Turns out it is a lot of work for not much payout. Yes my networth was high, but I was really taking in anything. I decided that I just wanted to sell them and start a business. The only snag I thought I had was I had a tenant occupied property in northeast Florida. I didn’t know how to get rid of the person without serious legal repercussions. They are a difficult tenant too. Whoever I sold to I felt like I should warn them. Good thing I mentioned the tenant occupied property to the Florida property for cash buyer. The guy was great about it. They buy Florida tenant occupied properties for cash. It wasn’t a hitch at all. Even with the renter being a pain, they weren’t afraid at all. I honestly feel like I made better out of the scenario than they did. They are now stuck with that awful renter and I walked away with some money. Now that all my real estate is sold I can focus on a different type of business that actually has money coming in. I can’t believe I hung onto my properties as long as I did.
